The fight against cheaters in PUBG reaches a new level
Unscrupulous gamers have already become commonplace in the famous «battle royale» PUBG. This is known both to regular players and to the developers from Krafton. They decided to take cheaters seriously, so they issued an open appeal to the public, sharing information about the implementation of new technologies to combat cheaters. We are talking about mechanisms that operate at the kernel level of programs and scan users' equipment for fraudulent software. Let's talk about this in more detail.
How does the updated anti-cheat in PUBG: Battlegrounds work?

The announced tools will be implemented in the game by the end of August. The goal of these manipulations is that new fraudulent algorithms operate at the operating system level, making them very difficult to detect. Nevertheless, protection is not standing still: modern anti-cheat programs can work with the OS kernel, and some of these solutions have already been added to the game. Internal testing of a new feature has just been completed, which will be able to determine whether cheating software is trying to «cover its tracks» and will counteract it at the system kernel level. This service will launch simultaneously with the activation of PUBG, but simply turning off the online shooter will also disable the anti-cheat.
Great hopes are placed on software improvements — Krafton employees believe that this way they can seriously pressure cheaters and reduce their number in matches. At the same time, the developers do not recommend running the new protection of their game alongside third-party programs to combat cheaters, as this may lead to software conflicts. The warning primarily concerns running two online shooters' clients simultaneously. It is claimed that starting with version 37.1, PUBG will lay a real foundation for countering illegal software.
